Our Journey to a New Site
The Governing Body made the decision on 29.04.19 to stay on three sites until the new school is ready to move into.
This should be the least disruptive option for staff, pupils and their families.
If you have any concerns about this, please contact the school and ask to speak to
Mrs Baldwin.
In the meantime, we look forward to working with Paveaways who have now been identified as the construction company who will be working on the new building, following the collapse of the previous contractor Dawnus, in March 2019. We are looking forward to work re-starting and we have already been to the site with the School Council, staff and the Chair of Governors for an initial meeting with Paveaway staff.

Warmcel Factory Visit May 2019
Year 5 pupils went to the Warmcel factory in Welshpool to learn about how the insulation for our new school building is being made. It was a very interesting visit and they learnt a great deal about the construction methods used to make the new building eco-friendly and sustainable.

Class 1 and 2 from the Oldford site visited the site of their new school. The children had lots of questions to ask Shaun from Dawnus. The children were very excited about having the opportunity to visit the school.
Class 1 and 2 from the Gungrog site had the opportunity to visit the new school. Everyone was so excited to see how much work had already been done.
Shaun from Dawnus construction took us on a tour around the inside of the building. We can't wait to visit again in the new year and see more progress!

EXCITING TIMES!
This week, children from years 3 and 4 have visited the building site of our new school. The visit included a question and answer session from some of the builders involved in the building of the school as well as a tour of the ground floor. The children really enjoyed the visit and are really excited to move to their new school next year!

We were packed up and ready to go on all three sites! There were hundreds of crates that all had to be packed carefully and labelled.
We eventually moved in on 18th December 2020, even though the school wasn't quite ready! The car park was too soft to drive on, so we had to park at the Flash and carry all our resources down to the new school - even if it was very cold and rainy!
The school opened to pupils in January 2021.
We worked long hours to finish the job by Christmas, ready to open in January 2021!
