We raised £281.00 at our plastic aware fair! Thank you to all who attended.
The Plastic Aware Fair kicked off to a great start with Phil Stallard kindly giving his time to hold an assembly for the children in KS2. Phil presented an interesting slideshow to the children showing them how easy it is for plastic to end up on our beautiful beaches and in the sea. He inspired us to buy less plastic and gave us ideas how this could be achieved. He told us we can help by spreading the word to our parents and other family members.
Phil left material shopping bags for us to colour which were donated by the CO-OP and also links to his website where we can take part in curriculum based activities. Thank you Phil for giving the staff and children the opportunity to learn more about caring for our community and our lovely countryside.

Plastic FaNtastic awareness enterprise troopers
This week we mixed lard and bird-seed to make more bird feeders. We also wrote a letter to send to companies to help us at our plastic aware fair next February. If you would like a stall please contact the school.
This week we made bird feeders using old plastic bottles, do you think the birds will enjoy using them?
Year 5 and 6 are working in an after school club to get ready for a plastic aware enterprise fair in February. Today we tested paints to see which will help decorate plastic that we will be recycling. Can you see what we found out? Check this page again to find out the date of our fair, hope to see you there!

ks2 enterprise
KS2 children have been extremely busy creating a range of Christmas decorations using natural resources.
They have had great fun gathering willow, holly, cones and wood for their decorations and with the added extras, from school resources, have created some beautiful decorations.
Members from the Enterprise Committee gave up their time to sell items at the Christmas lights event last Friday and also sold tree decorations to the KS2 children during break time. A total of £82:50 was raised. Thank you to everyone who supported us!
