On behalf of the governors, staff and pupils I welcome you to our website.
The school opened in September 2017, following the decision to close Oldford Nursery and Infant School, Gungrog Church in Wales School and the English medium pupils from Ysgol Babanod Ardwyn and Ysgol Maes-y-dre.
We operated from three sites for three years and one term, but now we are in our new building on Salop Road! We moved in during the last few weeks of the Autumn term 2020.
We are very excited about being in our new school building, as it is a Passivhaus building which means that has been built with sustainable materials, it functions with a low environmental impact, and will provide the best learning environment for our pupils.
We offer childcare and education services for children from just after birth starting with our ' Mother and Toddler Club'.
There is a Flying Start setting for two year olds. Your health visitor will let you know if Tinytots is an option for you and your family.
Three and four year old education is available the term after a child's 3rd birthday in Happitots. Although the local authority funds 10 hours free education, a further two and a half hours is also available FREE and is funded by the school.
All applications forms are available on this website. Please call into any of the sites and staff will help you with the application process.
Full time education commences in the September following a child's 4th birthday. The facilities for all children at Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School are constantly being updated and improved to meet the ever changing educational agenda and to offer every child quality educational experiences.
Everyone is welcome to come and have a look round our school and chat to us. We suggest a telephone call first (contact us), to make sure that we can give you sufficient time to get the full benefit from your initial visit.
Mrs L. Tuffin, Headteacher.
