Penpal gingerbread activity day
The children from the Gungrog and Oldford sites had a Penpal activity day based on the 'Gingerbread Man' story. The children worked together to make gingerbread men and different craft activities.

Parents and Carers were invited into school to view the wonderful Eisteddfod literacy and art work on display. They also had the opportunity to view their child's books. We had lots of positive feedback from very proud parents.
Farm to fork at tesco welshpool
Year 2 children from the Oldford site visited Tesco as part of the Farm to Fork initiative for schools. The children had the opportunity to make their own bread. They found out about Fairtrade and checked which countries the fruit and vegetables came from.

Foundation phase penpals
Year two children from the Gungrog and Oldford sites met up in Welshpool town. The children from opposite sites have become penpals. The children got to meet their penpal and they have started writing to each other. It was a very exciting morning for the children to finally meet their penpal for the first time.
